Ding-a-Ling Shoe-Shine!

Whoa. Don't know what this is. Too long to be a commercial, but it is! too long AND a commercial. Anyway...marketing was very different back in those days. King Ding-A-Ling? Sounds like something kiddies should definatly NOT watch! I love how they call a battery a 'power pack' thats the most fantastic invention you've EVER seen! And "a free million dollar ad campaign..." well, speaking for myself, Ding-A-Lings have really shaped my life, I wouldn't be the man I am without growing up with them. It was the only toy I played with, and it's been three and a half years since I axed someone to death, which my psychiatrist says is a real improvement. Come to think of it, isn't the term ding-a-ling an insult? could this be the origins of that saying? maybe all the guys in marketing were called that after its release. "Whats this little guy doing? he's in King dings elevator, and he's riding up through his inner power plant" WHAT!!!! "whats this little guy doing, HE'S GOING UP HIS ARSE"!
So, there you have it, a glimse into the near future, a robot world, with robots that shine shoes, and wise old robots called 'answer man' robots. Ding a Lings give us a frightening look at our mechanized future.
